飯豊町 – 東京外国語大学山形スタディツアー

飯豊町ページのトップ、中津川地区という参加した学生たちが泊まった農家民宿のある地区の風景写真 — のどかな農家民宿の風景（中津川地区より）

町の南部を飯豊連峰の懐に抱かれ、豊かな水源と森林に恵まれた飯豊町は「日本で最も美しい村」に選ばれました。そこには日本の原風景が広がっています。19世紀に英国人女性旅行家イゼベラ・バードが訪れた際には「東洋の桃源郷」と称されました。

東北でも有数の豪雪地帯であるため寒暖の差が激しく、四季折々の美しさが町を彩ります。また、米を中心としたさまざまな農作物の産地となっているだけではなく、米沢牛の４割を生産する主生産地でもあります。

２０１９年夏の飯豊町ツアーには、ブラジルからの留学生３名を含む９名が参加しました。

This picture was taken from Hotel Slow Village, where we spent one night, and captures one example of the many beautiful views of the rice fields in Iide-machi. Despite the fact that the hotel facilities were surprisingly modern, we could still feel the rural atmosphere. It was also in the these fields where we were able to experience rice harvesting the traditional and modern ways. It was an unforgettable experience that allowed me to value even more the work behind the rice eaten every day in Japan.

That picture represents one of my favorite parts of the trip because the place was really beautiful and the lake was really big so we had lots of space to explore and have fun. So was the mountains around the river and the bridge that gave the environment a really good view, and the activity was really safe and fun.

In Iide I had many different experiences, but personally something that I liked the most was the nature in that city, it’s so pretty and a nice way to escape Tokyo’s concrete jungle, after seeing how pretty it was I felt good and relaxed. Also the nature is really a good way to have fun and if you explore a little bit more it’s even possible to find hidden gems like this small temple in the picture. Iide has a astonishing nature I would recommend going there for anyone who likes looking at beautiful views or just have and adventure.
